چکیده

An autonomous robot is often in a situation to perform tasks or missions an initially unknown environment. A logical approach doing this implies discovering the environment by incremental principle defined applied exploration strategy. large number of strategies apply technique selecting next position between candidate locations on frontier and known parts using function that combines different criteria. The based Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) standard SAW, COPRAS TOPSIS methods are presented paper. Their performances evaluated terms analysis comparison influence each one them has efficiency environments with risk level “bad choice” selection position. simulation results show that, due its characteristics related intention minimize risk, application can provide good strategy high considered risk. No significant difference found analyzed MCDM low Also, confirm MCDM-based achieve better than when only criterion used, regardless famous D* Lite algorithm used for path planning.

Exploration strategies based on multi-criteria decision making for search and rescue autonomous robots

Autonomous mobile robots are considered a valuable technology for search and rescue applications, where an initially unknown environment has to be explored to locate human victims. In this scenario, robots exploit exploration strategies to autonomously move around the environment. Most of the strategies proposed in literature are based on the idea of evaluating a number of candidate locations a...

Exploration Strategies based on Multi-Criteria Decision Making for an Autonomous Mobile Robot

In robotic mapping, a mobile robot builds a spatial representation of the environment by means of a sequence of sensing actions. Exploration strategies determine the locations where an autonomous robot takes such observations. These locations are usually selected by evaluating a number of candidate locations according to different criteria. In this paper we propose a technique to combine criter...

APPROXIMATE ALGORITHM FOR THE MULTI-DIMENSIONAL KNAPSACK PROBLEM BY USING MULTIPLE CRITERIA DECISION MAKING

In this paper, an interesting and easy method to solve the multi-dimensional  knapsack problem is presented. Although it belongs to the combinatorial optimization, but the proposed method belongs to the decision making field in mathematics. In order to, initially efficiency values for every item is calculated then items are ranked by using Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDA).  Finally, ite...

Prioritizing Rangeland Improvement Practices using Multi-Criteria Decision Making Approach

Selecting the appropriate rangeland improvement method is a challenging task for range managers because it requires consideration of  various criteria. This study was  aimed to evaluate various restoration and reclamation practices in the rangelands of Semirom-Isfahan using Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods. Grazing management, water point development, pit seeding, exclosure, water ...

Fuzzy multi-criteria decision making method based on fuzzy structured element with incomplete weight information

The fuzzy structured element (FSE) theory is a very useful toolfor dealing with fuzzy multi-criteria decision making (MCDM)problems by transforming the criterion value vectors of eachalternative into the corresponding criterion function vectors. Inthis paper, some concepts related to function vectors are firstdefined, such as the inner product of two function vectors, thecosine of the included ...
